I'm Omar — a design leader currently heading design at Sublime Security, where I've helped take the company from 0 to Series D. Before that: founding a company (Kin), designing for a complex healthcare system (Alto), and making dense financial systems legible (Coatue).

What I focus on

Design leadership. Amplifying ideas through people — identifying strong talent, setting a high quality bar, and managing the work rather than the people. A midfielder, not a coach yelling from the sideline.

Design in cybersecurity. Security products win or lose on whether complex systems are made legible. I write about what that takes and advise early-stage security startups on design.

AI-native creative work. Experimenting in the open — building with AI tools, learning by doing, and sharing what I learn in the Lab.
